cherry stones at the oysterfest

When did mid-october turn into an extension of summer. Today we trekked down to Wellfleet, where these lovely wild grasses were found, to the annual Oyster Festival, with 55,000 other people. Who knew that Oysters and Sunday would turn out so well (fleet).
A dozen oysters, good sweet cherry stones (pictured), fried oysters and a meander through a crafts show. But our favorite stop was a small unassuming gallery just down the hill, up from Mac’s, a gallery called FARM. Go if you can. Small works on paper, mixed media. A surprise.
(the website of Farm refers more to the gallery owner’s former graphic design business.)
