I want to open up a cheese shop, but I can’t decide on the right name. Rip wants to make cheese, but I think I just want to be a cheesemonger. Part of our tour across Scotland and England will be in search of cheesemongery. We will taste our way north and south.  For now a favourite trip to a cheese shop where I don’t accrue airline miles, is Formaggio kitchen in Cambridge. If you’re in Cambridge, do go visit.

We’re also signed up for the Vermont Cheese Festival in Shelburne Falls, VT, on July 24

    After reading Barbara Kingsolver’s “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” a few years back, some friends and I enrolled in Ricki Carroll’s Cheesemaking 101 Workshop held at her home in Ashfield, MA. A definite must for any future cheesemonger! Check it out at
